The Irish singer Sinead O’Connor plans to follow other music stars like Keith Richards by writing her memoirs, her publisher announced today.

The book does not yet have a title, but publication is planned for March 2016, and the 47-year-old Ms. O’Connor promises the book will be revealing.

“I’ve never stopped expressing myself in my music, and now, with a book,” she said in a news release. “And I look forward to dishing the sexual dirt on everyone I’ve ever slept with.”

Blue Rider Press, a Penguin Group imprint that also publishes Neil Young’s two rock memoirs, will publish the book in the United States.

It said the book would “cover the singer’s turbulent upbringing in Ireland; her breakout as an artist with 1987’s “The Lion and the Cobra” and her nine subsequent albums; her controversial opinions and actions, as well as her personal and musical struggles and triumphs, through the present day.”

According to her website, Ms. O’Connor currently has several tour dates scheduled in North America, including three appearances scheduled for later this month in New York at the City Winery.

David Rosenthal, Blue Rider’s president and publisher, said, “Sinead has led a singular life – both personally and professionally.”

The book will be published in Ireland, Britain and Commonwealth countries by Penguin Ireland.
